Having given up biking a couple of years ago when my daughter arrived on the scene and one too many clueless, non-indicating, non-mirror using, random lane changing drivers had almost killed me, made me do the responsible thing ... and I've been in denial ever since!

Ewan and Charlie probably set the wheels in motion (I wonder how much commission they are due!), but a new dull job and a long commute got me reading reviews ... and this week into showrooms.

Being a former 885 Tiger owner (which I loved) I took out the new 1050 on Thursday .. better engine ... lighter .. stops ... much sportier ... hated it!

Went to Vines on Friday, tried the R12GSA first ... found it a bit cumbersome in town .. a bit tractor like .... absolutely loved it!

Took the standard 12GS out ... much more nimble .. very easy to throw about ... thought it was actually fantastic ... ..... for the wife ... so went and put a deposit on a G12GSA. Didn't intend too, but just knew it was the bike for me!

Having read the forum hope mine wasn't built on a Friday and turns out to be a duffer ... you the spin the wheel and take ya chances .....!

... so went and put a deposit on a G12GSA. Didn't intend too, but just knew it was the bike for me!

Looks like Vines have 2 on order then - my deposit went down on Wednesday with them for a 12GSA ..... I have ordered the Silver one ( Faster apparently ) Cant wait to get my mits on the 'lil darlin - If you fancy a ride out when you get it - Give me a shout!

Yep ... silver for me too. I've asked to pick mine up in March though, just to extend the torture!

Absolutely up for a ride out ... will let you know when I pick up the shiny panzer.
