if you choose to invest in a set of remus headers.
the following will not fit with them

Givi crash bars,, the front cross brace needs tweeking to allow room for the headers:thumb2

BMWs own sumpguard will not fit with them either as the remus headers hang slightly lower

enjoy your bikes peeps
kind regards

chad:thumb2

Surely you can cut parts off the bash plate to make them fit/one of them?

I'll probabley have the same issues with Guard-IT engine plate & Wild@Heart engine bars. When i get around to importing them from South-Africa.

Hey chad, how you getting on with the headers?

Was tempted to take a punt on them recently as I have a unsilenced akrapovic.

aye but you wouldnt be happy if you purchaced the headers and found they didnt work with the crash bars or the sump guard ....so this is just a heads up:thumb2 i will be adapting said sump guards:D

remus headers 800gs

i,ve got sw motech engine bars and bmw alloy bash plate and remeus headers had to modify bash plate a bit but looks ok, and wasnt difficult

Sweet, pictures would be great. If I get the cash I would consider wrapping the headers with exhaust wrap, then perhaps it won't burn a giant hole in my textile trousers!

D'oh!

Don't want to hijack the thread, just an aside, how do you like the Touratech seat? Is that the higher one? Sorry for the interruption

its not my bike mike:augie:D

but the owner (dean) puma of this parish rates it very highly it is the higher seat too:thumb2

Sorry to dig up an old thread, but I can't find any definitive answers on what fits with the remus headers. I have just fitted them, i like the extra grunt and the noise, but I can't get my BM bash plate, or engine bars on. I'm not that bothered about the engine bars (they might be for sale now:augie), but I really like the look of the bash plate:cool:.

Does anyone have a pic of a modified bash plate, I think it'll be simple, but would like to see what others have done.

What other bash plates work with the remus headers?

Has anyone modified the beemer engine bars to fit, it seems doable, but alot of work.

What engine bars work without bending, welding ets?

Thanks in advance. :thumb

I'm sure there are a lot of different combinations but heres mine:

Remus Pipes, BMW bash plate (adapted to fit by Chad), TT tool box / crud catcher, a splash of powder coating, Givi engine bars.

Hey presto !
