If you haven't been hit in the face with a six foot high wall of water spray from the oncoming Number 3 bus on its way to NNUH you just haven't lived.

Flash floods, impromptu river crossings, washouts, sand gravel and the odd bit of rubble all with a nice bit of real Norfolk rain. Made the ride home a treat.

Plus a toasty warm helmet from the airing cupboard this morning. Lovely.

I was trundling to work on the f800gs during the thunderstorm. Lightning and thunder simultaneous and it was raining stair rods and stinging my thighs through my suit. Rivers of water on the road all mixed up with stones and soil. It was brilliant ! :D

Shame we don't get more 'proper' weather.

I stayed at work until 18:00 to miss the worst of it all not becasue I'm a wuss..........but because I was a bit of a numpty and didn't have the waterproof liner in my kit :blast AND had vented, unlined gloves :blast :blast

Good call as you would have drowned ! I got a little damp around the collar and cuffs but otherwise my Daytonas and old Pharao suit kept me dry :D

It got so dark I had to take my tinted Pinlock out and then realised just what a difference they make to stopping condensation.

I got that bit right as I've (almost) always got a clear visor with me and both the dark and clear visors have their own pinlock but the bumble is very very very dirty (TBF he was so before my journey home yesterday! :)) and no time to bathe him before the Hograost...tut :toungincheek
