Forget the HP2e - this is the one you want.....

Seems a lot of cash, I remember a fella in America who was going to make similar, think he gave up, there must be a few people who would pay for a limited run
 
Looks pretty,but I can see things wrong with that frame straight away.Built cheaply to increase profits I'd say.Nothing much special about it at all really.
And why would you build a bike from scratch,and feck up the exhaust hanger so you have to bolt a chunk of ally on it to make the can mount.

I bet it costs a bomb as well.



So where's your version then Vern? I'll be looking at an 1150 Special, if one's available, in 2015. That gives you two years to fangle and farkle and get one up and running.:thumb2
 
Can't help looking a that and wondering...

You could start with an r1100r. Swap the shocks, forks, wheels, torque arm, and bars off a GS. Graft on an MX mudguard and it would certainly approach the syle of the dutch bike. Probably cheaper than a GS too.
