my exhausts are supposed to be...

A mate turned up yesterday with his new exhaust on his bike... put mine to shame... so did a bit of cleaning to day... 2 and a half years of tar and crap... came up like new

Thought I would do half of it to show the result... looks good

Yes mate, it has come up well.

But it could of still been all like the front half and you would of had 2.5 years plus 1 day of riding it !!

It will soon be back to the same state again....and also it goes to prove that that layer of crud and tar serves as an excellent protective film.

What about the front engine cover?
Has the tar etc. protected that also or is it the usual mixture of alloy corrosion and paint blistering?

The plan is to change the oil (engine and FD) on wednesday and will take the can off and sort it all out in one day.... thats the plan anyway
