Following on from Rob Farmers mono suspension thread I wondered what the opinions are on the Fornales rear shock when fitted to a para?

My R100GS has one on the the moment, and it feels a little under damped at speed causing a 'galloping' sensation at times, i'm not even sure weather it (the damping) is adjustable?

I'm half tempted to fit an Ohlins rear shock and a set of progressive front springs at the same time, any recomendations?

I thought that they were adjustable by modifying the amount of pressure in each

Which one do you have, I think that the 80 and the 100 are not the same?

The bike is a 100 and yes its an air shock but I assumed the air was the spring but had little to do with the damping? I'm wrong then:blast

I think that you are correct.......the air adjustment provides the ride height wanted for the load that you have and the damping is not adjustable, i.e. built in...........I think

You can have them re built in the UK.....I think to your own spec...........I have forgotten who does them........but it may come back to me if I search my Bookmarks, Andy Grant had his done on the Bike that "The Squadron Leader" sold recently.........maybe if you PM Phil(?) and ask him what his were like

Maybe their site will help

20 Psi for yours Shep. The hardest part is measuring what's in there at the minute. You can get gauges that let out a small amount of air (around 2PSI) every time you take a reading.

Wasn't or isn't there a pump for sale somewhere on the forum

Not a bad price if I recall correctly and it looked nice

Just a bicycle pump really with a gauge on the end

I had one fitted to my GS-PD when I bought it, tried different settings, sold it in the end fitted a Wilbers better value for money then the ohlins "in my opinion":thumb

I bought the shock from Valker, and I thought it was super once I got the pressure correct. Very good for 2-up work.

Just a word of advice... no need for a Fournales pump, as a push-bike suspension pump does the same job a lot cheaper.
