Some mates and I are staying two nights in Ainsa (on the edge of the Pyrenees) and two in Tama (Posada El Corcal de Liebana - in the Picos) to enjoy some local rides. Does anyone have some roads they would recommend we ride whilst there

Thank you,

Richard

We’re doing these in 2 weeks.
I’ve done them before.Stunning !
Adapt as need be, but close to your starting point

A couple of routes based on Ainsa
https://goo.gl/maps/NtPsB8FpbU4p8o4VA - crosses into France
https://goo.gl/maps/QYxwoiuNnpQTF3eQA stays in Spain - note N260 north of Campo currently closed for repairs but you might be able to do that loop as part of the circuit to reduce the the amount of time on the same roads
There is a fabulous return loop via Bonansa but north of Isabena it's really dangerous due to truck using this narrow road to beat the diversion - last week I saw a mangled UK reg GS 800 by the idle of a tunnel engrave where presumably the rider came to grief hitting something blocking the way. So you've better off riding on down the N-230 to Benabarre and heading north from there to Ardenuy, the west to Campo.

Have a look at these - we stayed in Hotel Sanchez in 2019, might be a good starting point:

Drove these roads from the coast up into the mountains for a stay at Fuente De then to drive back out to the coast - Lovely driving/ridding roadsIMG_0622.jpegIMG_6701.jpeg
