Frame Corrosion

Hi All

Has anyone had any issues with frame corrosion not caused by stone chips?

Nope. There was a spot of rust about 1mm across when I bought the bike around the headstock. I guess something bashed it. I treated it with Cure rust and no probs since.

Yeah my knees have rubbed on both sides. Hammerite paint only works for awhile. Anyonr else found better solution. Also paint my footpeg occasionally to keep it neat ..and my center stand underside.

Yeah... if you keep riding it rust doesn't get chance to form. Nice'n shiny steel shows people you're a rider and not just an owner

I don't worry 'bout nuffink me - a few marks and dinks give it a bit of credibility, patina, WABI ... call it what you will, instead of it looking like a cosseted fluffy yellow and black cuddly toy.

Just another point though, I was listening to the bike while I was riding - as you do - and was comforted by the nice happy whirring noise it was making, no nasty clunks bangs rattles tinkles knocks pinks grinding, just a nice healthy whirring ...
