france trip help

hi all just been let down for the 2nd time on these sun holidays in france

so what im asking is im looking at going to france on bike

will give you a brief write up first

me paul and other half kim want to do a bit on the bike iv not done much at all and nothing with kim abroud on bike so seaking advice

im thinking maybe heading towards switzerland via paris dijon etc
im not wanting to do hundreds and hundreds of miles every day only because im thinking of how long can kim sit on bike without getting fedup etc i have aprox just under 2 weeks off work

so is this time of year ok
how long roughly am i looking at geting there say would 2-3 days be plenty having a stop over in paris then dijon (or any great recomendations )
what would the weather be like
is there any decant passes ,,,roads ect near switzerland
any good roads on way to paris dijon etc

any do's and dont's
cost

any info would be great

kim will have no trouble in digging me in the ribs when shes had enought and if we dont make it all the way because of one thing or another we not that bothered but this is just a rough guide

sorry for all the qestions just that i could be setting off on this sun comming
im more concerend that kim will get fed up and bourd shitless

saying all that she has no trouble going from london to kelso bmf show we normaly go thurs eve stop over in nottingham at friends then onto kelso next morning

she is very good on the back of bike she likes scenery old towns a little history

im looking at b&bs to stay in

please any info would be great or if theres a couple out there traveling from the 16th that would like a mature couple as company let me know im 43 and a complete nutter kim is older and THE BOSS lol
