Free travel for War pensioners in London

If any of you within or just outside London receive a War pension like i do you may be able to apply for this from TFL.

"It benefits those aged under 60 who get a pension under the War Pensions Scheme or Armed Forces Compensation Scheme. People over 60 already get free travel. "

Not sure what the definition of Just outside London is for TFL but i shall apply anyway.

VCTS Oyster card

Well i received my VCTS Oyster card in this mornings post. Giving me free travel withing London until May 2012.

It was a very simply process just needing a passport photo and copy of you War pension entiltlement and a simply TFL form filling in and it was all sorted.

So don't forget if you are under 60, live in or near to London and you do receive or know of someone that receives a War pension pass this info on.

Obviously need to be in receipt of a war pension to qualify but might be of use to others around the country.

I'm over 60 and receive an Army (not War) pension. I get free bus travel but does that include free underground travel as well? Probably not, eh?
