Bonjour mes amis les grenouilles!

We're off to Spain in a couple of days, taking the train down to France, then riding through the Pyrenees. So I was checking a traffic site my wife found (http://www.bison-fute.equipement.gouv.fr/givre3/listeflashs.do?pageAstec=internet/ie2_quartso.html), and found this warning:

"basculement de chaussee".

Now, I have an idea this means "one lane closed, alternating traffic", but I could quite realistically be making this up as I go along.

Any better translations / suggestions?

According to a Francophone friend it means that there is a problem with the surface e.g. subsidence or erosion.

In the UK we would erect this sign to prevent any claims for damage and forget about it
