Here and there.....
Toured through France 3 times last year, doing about 8000 miles there, both with Mrs Johno and separately with my son on his 1150. Planning on doing similar this year too. I've had/got all the insurance and recovery etc. but have just realised :blast if someone had an accident I don't know what number to call for emergency help. I would appreciate any information regarding what the French way of doing things is. Thanks

John

Emergency Numbers in France:

15 - Medical - Samu (this is not a free service like an Ambulance but more like a taxi)
17 - Police - Gendarme
18 - Fire - Pompier

If you are phoning from a mobile (I presume you will be) you should dial 112 which is the European Emergency Call Number and they will rocess your call accordingly and will also be able to provide an English speaking operator... :thumb2

Some you shouldn't need :blast

119 - Child abuse hot line
115 - Homeless hot line
113 -Drugs & Alcohol Hot line
