I went to top up my front brake fluid this morning and one of the four retaining screws for the cover has knurled and as such I can't get any purchase on it to get it out!

Anyone got any ideas how I can get this one screw out please?

You'll probably have to drill the head off the screw which shouldn't be too much of a problem. When you have lifted off the master cylinder cap that will give you access to the shank of the screw which should not offer any resistance to a pair of pliers.

Anyone got a spare screw for the reservoir 1100 or can you buy these some where as I haven't seen them listed?

Just had a look at mine, its an M5 countersunk machine screw with 13mm of thread. pretty common.

just had one sheared and I could remove it fair easy with a pair of wire cutter pliers which can get a good grip on the remaining part. very important: I spray some anti seize oil (liquid wrench from Gunk) in order to ease the shreds
