A few weeks ago i fitted short levers, today before going out i noticed the front brake sevo sticking, so assumed it was the micro switch, after taking the micro swith off anf trying the one off the clutch side i am still having the same problem. I can operate the front brake but the micro switch stays on operating the servo until i push the brake lever forward, i have tried adjusting the micro switch position but it still stays on until i again push the lever forward, so it got me thinking did something fall out when i was fitting the short levers? I have tried to look for a microfiche but cant find one with the master cylinder parts, so this is what i have, when i remove the lever unit it comes off in one part including the little push rod that fits in the master cylinder with the little rubber boot on, then there is a washer, thats it, is there supposed to be a spring? Or anything else? Thanks

Thanks for that, it looks like there are no parts missing and its just the rubber dust cover with the washer behind it.

Forgot to mention I have just fitted new front discs and pads, as mentioned when I pull the brake lever the servo pump comes on and off if I just lightly pull the lever back and release it, but if I put more pressure on the lever the servo stays on unless I push the lever back towards the front of the bike, been trying to fix this all afternoon and its driving me crazy!!

Any ideas most welcome?

Microswitches don't have coil type springs, if that's what you're looking for (None I've seen anyway)

Maplins and many other suppliers do microswitches in numerous sizes and ratings.....if yours won't free up with a bit of brake cleaner squirted on it followed by a bit of silicone spray/WD40, you could replace it quite easily (just a guess there, but that's what I'd be looking at)

I have swapped the microswitch on the front brake with the one on the clutch and still have the problem, so I dont think its the microswitch. The microswitch operates with just a slight pull on the lever, but then will not go off unless I push the lever away from the bars, have tried adjusting the position of the switch with the little grub screw, but no matter whish way I do it, it still will not operate properly,,
