hi all

i have a problem with my r100gs that the front stop switch does not work at all. the rear one works fine and as it should. i have tried a new switch and have check there wiring on the harness and still cant get it to work. is it know for the connector on the harness to stop working?
is there some thing other i should check for. as the bike is going for an mot soon and i should try and get it to work.
thanks sean

just rewiring mine ay the mo.
I found the rear brake pedal switch only worked when the connector running to it was tweaked sideways- bad connection.

Best to get a multimeter set it to ohms (Omega sign) & put it across the front connector. You should get continuity through it when the lever is pulled in. You will prob need someone to help you pull the lever in.

i have plug the NEW FRONT switch in to the harness and pushed it with my hand and it does nothing at all so i my change the connector on the harness and see it works but cutting it off and soldering a new one in.

i have sorted it now the last onwer had coverd over the right plug with tape and pushit under part of the frame along with 3other plugs so i ended up taking all the tape off till i found the right one. just need to fit a very thin washer so it lights up before the brake is full on. well at least i have a working front brake switch for the 1st time in 2years.
