Noticed that the old problem is still around - not being particularly handy with tools and things but still frustrated by the slow flow rate, I thought I would try removing the offending plastic ring at the bottom of the filler neck since this was obviously the root of the problem. It was the work of a finger :nono and a couple of seconds and it would seem, the problem is solved. When filling, after the second automatic pump cut-off, you have petrol just above the bottom of the neck. :bounce1 :clap

So far, I hav'nt experienced any signs of leakage so....... :clap :clap

Same here - You can get 22.5 litres in if you're really brave/daft/lost.....

:beerjug:

22 litres of fuel equating to 260 miles on a gentle run and thats taking the fuel guage down to 1 mile left as I pulled on to the forecourt!!!

Can somebody explain to me where and what this ring is and how to remove it.
Thanks

Open filler cap.

Look in tank.

See rubber ring.

Stick finger through middle.

Bend finger.

Pull out.

Ring now on finger.

Job done, Boshhh :thumb

Must try this myself one day :mmmm

Thanks for the response. Sorry for the delay replying been on holiday.
What is the advantage in removing the ring?
