Not had it long but 2000 f650gs spirited 90 mile commute getting 130-140 when fuel light comes on?? Is this norm I have read folk getting 200 to tank :augie.......

the lights come on quite early; mine at about 170. There's still loads of fuel
left in the tank; perhaps a half gallon, safely another 40 miles.

Thanks I am still 30-40 miles a head of you :nenau

I had a twin spark 650 single and it guzzled the fuel above 70 mph, commuting below 70mph, I'd easily get 200 miles till the light came on.

Seems low, how much does it take to fill up when the light comes on, that's the bit that counts.

Off roading I get around 160 miles to 14.5-15 litres. Touring I get about 190-200 to the same amount of fuel :thumb

Thrashing I get around 170-180 to the same amount of fuel :thumb

Mines a 2000 single spark

mine used to get that sort of mileage. its getting better the more miles it does, currently around 170 - 180 till the light, there's still another 5 litres in the tank at that point

John stop riding it like a work bike:augie:D:D:D that may help:thumb2

Keep meaning to pop by and catch up (tried a couple of times but the poor dog was home alone:rolleyes:)

mine will put the light on at 165-170 in very spirited riding

more relaxed riding sees 190-ish to the light

i've done 40-odd miles with the light on, but i then got about 17 litres in so it wouldnt have gone much further

I have got Hepco Beker tin boxes on ????? Does seem low though...... oh noted Jez any time your passing :thumb2

I lost my bottle at 250 miles and filled up...took 13.6 ltrs.

In common with others mine drinks fuel at Mway speeds yet a good thrash on B roads will still return 70-75 mpg

Just love this bike.

Dave

Below 5000rpm light came on at 150 managed 185 then put 15.3 litres in !!

I've had the light come on at 190, then ran out at 265 miles.

Fill up took 17.31 liters.

All in the name of research, of course.
