fuel pump knackered ?

Hello all. My 1100 fuel pump has just started whining really loudly all the time. Even with earplugs in I can hear it. Does this mean its Knackered ?

I hope not. Mine sounds the same and i've just bought a nice second hand tank. The old one had filled up with filth when the filler cap drain hole was blocked for i'd say most of the bikes life. She's nine this year. Second hand pumps are hard to come by. Wish i'd found a tank in blue best of luck anyway with it.

Probably not. Could be either you're low on fuel (in which case, fill up) or it's straining because something is blocking the filter at a guess.
