Fuel Tap question Paris Dakar tank

HI Chaps

My shiny new (well primered) Paris Dakar tank has arrived for my G/S. Did a dry fit and all seems OK however on looking a the petcocks supplied there doesn't seem to be a gasket/seal between the threaded fitting and the tank. However, the foot of the strainer which is captured by the fitting when screwed together looks like it MIGHT be some sort of crush washer, which would do the sealing .

Am I miles off? or is this correct? Any input welcome (I have looked on real OEM by the way but its not completely conclusive......)

Should have a washer to seal petcock to threaded part of tank.

Mine seal fine with only the bottom of the strainer.But your might not.
If it needs washers it needs two, one between the strainer and the tank, and between the strainer and the tap.
And if it doesn't need any, either one or two will work, in either location!
