I'm interested to know the cost, as I could hang fire on the varios on my new bike, and pay the difference to get the aly panniers when they come out in March.

Budget for around a grand and you won't be far off

Aluminium cases

RRP on cases is £311 per side
Locks are £18.50 each, remember you need 3 per side
Top case is £315

Went for TT Zega Pro on mine.
£913 including locks and pannier liners,no cutout for the exhaust which leaves a really good space for a tool tube.

They're not quick release but when I'm away I don't take them off so it's not a problem.

I went ZegaPro2 no cutouts and they are quick release:D Best of both worlds and black anodised finish, Lovely:thumby:

Do the Zega pro 2's fit the adventure rails, with no adjustment? (AFAIK, TT make the BMW boxes.) What is the quality of Zega Pros versus the BMW and can the Zega locks be key coded to the bike ?

No they don't fit the BMW adventure rails, need TT frames. I think the Zegapro2 a little better than the BMW, but the BMW are very good. Locks not coded to ignition key, but one TT key fits all panniers and top box.

As Frankh says, but I do believe you can fit the adventure luggage catches to zega pros which would enable you to code them to your ignition key.

I have seen the Givi Trekkers luggage .... Does anybody know if they fit on the new GSA std frames and the costs ... ?

I'm not too keen on plastic cases and top box on a new 2014 GS but did you know that it is possible to install GSA metal luggage system on GS?! Quite straightforward. GSA is a bit too bulky for my liking but I may go for GS with GSA luggage system. Has anybody done this before?

I thought about it, but went with varios. It is possible though.:thumb

Mines costing 679.80 for the panniers and locks and 413.20 for the top box including the back rest cushion and locks so that's 1093 if l do say soo.

That's from vines
