G650 crack,bang,screech.

Hmm,
24K and one snapped camchain.

I'm not sure yet just how much damage has been done
but the engine locked up solid.
Somewhere down there is a camchain wrapped around the crank.

I think there's something missing.

This ere bolt does not want to come out and is the last remaining bolt
holding the cylinder head on,
preventing me from lifting the head and checking for further damage.

I shall return to my shed tomorrow and attack the offending bolt.

Yep I sprayed it all round last night.

Fingers crossed the valves and piston are ok.

I finally got the bolt out and got the head off.
All the fu*king valves are bent.

But the top of the piston is not to bad.

Yeah i haven't seen many G650's in bits myself.
If you would like any specific pictures let me know.

As far as the warranty goes. . . . .
It ran out two months ago,I'm currently trying to negotiate an out of
warranty goodwill fix from BMW through my fantastic local Hertford BMW dealer.


I shall keep my fingers crossed.
