G650 XCountry rear brake light intensity

Hi fellow 650X'ers,
I have a question regarding the rear LED light on my XCountry that I'm hoping other owners can help me out with.
When I press the rear brake lever, the brake light is noticeably brighter than when I press the front brake lever. Does this happen on anyone else's 650X or is it a unique "feature" of mine?
I've taken a look at the front brake switch and it appears to be in working order with no visible damage to wiring.
