Hi all
I got a 2012 G650GS last week. I've noticed a few times that when the ignition is turned on before starting (only sometimes, I usually keep it in the steering lock position and nothing to do with hot starts) instead of doing the usual speedo needle up &down & pre-start checks & lights, sometimes the LCD says ABS, then 1-4 and 14-30 above it at the same time, then the pre start checks happen. When all is ready to go the trip clocks and time of day clock have reset to 0 and 12:00 respectively.
Not a huge issue on their own, but 1) pain when the petrol light is on, I can't tell my total mileage since the light came on first as it resets on startup, and 2) I wonder if it's a sign of a problem higher up the chain.
Any thoughts?
