G650X W/E RIDEOUT OPTION April - July

12 voted, a third can't make that weekend, leaving 8.
I guess half a dozen might turn up.

OK, I have contacted The Green Inn.
Hopefully I will make it, but if not I have two tracklogs that can be attempted with the XCs.

OK, can you mail them to me?
I've also got the one from HAF 6 that the adventurous might be up for providing we avoid the bottom of byway 73,

Hi what sort of tyres should be needed at this time of year (June) for these trails?
THe Xc only has Metz Tourance current and I did a very muddy trail on the plain with the honda last month that proved how important these rubber rings are!

So you've got an XCountry?

The trails vary from rocky (as in Peak District levels of rock) to more mud than you've ever seen :D

It's very different to Salisbury Plain. Look at the March Moon and HAF reports on Adv Rider. Generally, it will range from being a bit more tricky than the Plain to being full-on hard core steepness where it takes 3 of you to wrestle the bike along a track. For this weekend we will be avoiding the latter.

Anyone attending should let us know how much offroading they have ever done.

Hope to be there, its my w/end off.:clap.
As to the amount of off roading i have done, A sorry verry little but i hope to get a few more days in befor the avent. Please be gentle to me and my bike.

Hi Dave,
it's essential that you do some more days practise beforehand, this will not be a beginners rideout.
You need suitable tyres (MT21s etc) and to carry some tools and a tube on the bike and know how to use them,
cheers
G
