The one below del if you want to use WIFI or cheaper is the USB version that I use, but you must have your laptop close to the bike.

Thats the one i thought id need,got the same page in my bookmarks. I dont have a laptop so would need the wifi version to use with my ipad. What is the interface on the bike is it an obd2 port ?

Why thank you kind sir There are five of us with either GS/GSA/XR variants so one of these and a cable adaptor for the older GS (2015) and we are on our way to a fair bit of cash saving.

yep that is what we do here, you have 10 vins available, and the GS-911 only locks onto the bikes VIN number when you actually clear a code or do something physical on the bike, if you just hook it up and look inside the bike without changing anything, it does not use up a VIN number.
