Galibier - landslides

Suits me, we are there later and if it has been scrapped from the TDF it will probably mean less wannabe cyclists will be clogging it up when we come through :D

I think if they are going up the Galibier then they will be real cyclists rather than wannabes, but I'm sure they wouldn't want to impede the important progress of any wannabe Ewan McBoormans :D

I overtook a motorbike going down Galibier - I was on me bicycle in full on Lycra loveliness :P

......it was a Harley though! :D

It's actually a huge nuisance! Especially if they decide to close the alternative...the Col du Croix Du Fer......to allow a poxy peddly bike race...La Marmotte or some such. Only in France would they do it!!

They are now speaking about abandoning the route all together and building another road on the other side of the loch...
