A new self serve car wash has opened next to Tesco Garage in Garforth and its a really good facility. Four bays I think with pressure wash and separate foam brushes.
I have been using it for the family four wheeled fleet as I prefer it to the Asylum Soakers and we don't have much space at home etc.
Anyhoo, was there yesterday after a mucky ride. It wasn't meant to be but loads of flooding around Sutton on Derwent area. I got talking to the guy that seems to own it and he's also putting a bike wash in! It will have a blower to dry off all those bits that seem to harbour water for ages. He's obviously thought about the service and it all seems like good gear. Turtle Wax products etc. Car wise the wet wax process seems to work very well and they are also installing a deioniser or something to stop the water drying off spotty if not leathered down.
We got talking, as often happens, because he's looking to get a 1200 He currently has an 850GS
The machines cost a quid for four minutes at the moment and you just choose which options you want as you go along from Prewash, Powerwash, Foam Lance, Foam Brush, Wax and rinse.
Before everyone says 'you're not supposed to use a power wash on bikes' I know but a) I don't aim at anything with a seal in it and b) life's too short
