Garmin 12 & Touratech Mount

I a have a Garmin 12 GPS and want to fit to the bars of my GS1150, has anyone done this? I have seen the Touratech mount in their catologue and the version sold by Wunderlich which does not appear as substantial. I want to power it from the bike.
Any advice or help will be much appreciated.
