I am delighted to say I put down a deposit yesterday on a new 12GSA -can't wait!

My question to all you that know - the dealer offered me a 2610 fitted for £150 - is it worth it? I have a good sense of direction and have always had no problems using a map. Is it worth the extra investment? I would probably only find it useful abroad or does it have lots of points of interest to make up good Sunday trips etc.?

if its a brand new one and fitted means with the right mount and hard-wired to the bike then I think its a spot on deal. I paid £250 for one from GPSwarehouse with all that on...

But thats my opinion!

after the HID kit I have fitted, this has to be the best piece of kit I have bought. If I remember rightly, the 2610 has been discontinued hence the price. Doesn't stop it being a fantastic sat nav though

I have sat nav in the car but rarely use it coz most of my journeys are fairly local. Can you therefore download all these POI's for the Garmin ie English Heritage sites or the like and just set off?

good question which I don't honestly know the answer to!

I haven't used it yet for anything more than locating addresses, I think that there are some sticky threads on here that perhaps describe what it does better than I can!
