Garmin 2610 (what im i doing wrong)

Hi all

I have planned a route from Wirral down to Portsmouth via main A roads for the shortest mileage (but good main A roads) with map source V8 Garmin 2610 GPS however when I invert or plan it back home it picks a different route? What I m I doing wrong or any suggestions

They all do that sir, on the PC or on the 2610.

If you want to plan a specific route that it'll follow both ways then add some way-points. Obviously if there are one way systems etc. then you can expect a few minor variations.

Watch out for putting via-points on the southbound carriageway of a motorway. It might pick another route northbound to avoid passing through that via point on the return.
