Garmin Mounting plate (Should be in box with your unit else about £5 from gamin)

Hops this helps, you may want to use a different connector other then the RS ones as they can be a bit pricey.

I went offf to Maplins to make myself a simpler version of this gadget.

However the 2820 would not switch on with a pack of 10 fully charged Ni-Mh batteries. Swopped it out for a case of 8AA's and .....result! YMMV

Also,I would imagine that you would need a very high volume to hear music over and above any ambient noise that you would normally cut down on by wearing ear plugs.

Unless you've got moulded ear plugs with monitors moulded in.
