I have been using a 550 for ages and until now would highly recommend it. However, recently it has developed a problem where by the visual position it gives for the bike is way behind the actual position. The audio prompts still work OK and seem to be on cue but the bike icon is way back. I have done a master reset, calibrated the screen and ensured the software is updated and none of this improves the units performance. I eventually got through to Garmin who simply provided the stock answer, send it in for a replaced unit for £108. Yeah right. Has anyone else suffered a similar issue with a 550? I am most dissappointed with Garmin as in reality the unit does not and has not really had much use.
