I got through the post a Garmin motor bike kit to fit the 6210 and was going to install it onto a 1150 adv ...so with the bracket for the back of the 6210 was 4 mounting screws...but I am not sure what to get next to mount the 6210 holder to the bike....any ideas or views thanks Stewart

If you mean the 2610 ..

The Garmin mount kits (eg; SPIII, 2610 and Quest) use a four hole pattern which marries up and onto the RAM-B-202 round base. I 'guess' you have a Garmin kit comprising cradle, power/audio lead and screws/nuts ??. If attaching to the handlebar bars, the simplest RAM kit is RAM-B-149Z-G1 its badged for the SPIII but you'll get some extra screws/collar nuts which may be useful at some point. If attaching onto the crossbar, then add RAP-319.

I had the same problem, I purchased the Garmin mount kit and cable thinking that was all I needed only to find out I still needed a mount. what I did was cut a square of metal to fit the holes template which came in the Garmin kit then I cat a piece of rubber hose and fitted it to the crossbar, next bolt the garmin kit to the crossbar over the piece of hose using the plate.

I could get photo's if needed but it was a pretty simple affair.
