Is it possible with a Garmin eTrex Legend Cx to record the tracks from a days ride directly onto the SD card ??

What I would like to be able to do is save the tracks for each day of a four day ride in a seperate location on the card, or be able to give each set of tracks a specific name.

I don't want it for anything else other than recording tracks as I have a 2610 for navigational use. I need to be able to store more then 10,000 track points so the Gecko, for instance wouldn't be suitable.

Any guidance much appreciated.

Yes, but i've totally forgot how:rolleyes:

Had mine set up to do so then it broke, sent it back to garmin and havnt got round to setting it up again (usually record / store mountain bike routes we have done)

BTW its a micro SD card so you will need a reader / adapter for one of those:thumb2

Something to be careful of....

When saving a track with older Garmins (not sure about the Cx), it strips the date/time information from the track... If your reason for wanting this has to do with using the track for putting positions on Photos, or something where speed/date/pretty much everything but position are important... then you need to carry a laptop.. or PDA capable of the deed...
