GARMIN HELP PLEASE

hi,i have a garmin nuvi265 wt car satnav, i had it plugged into the bike the other day,it was working fine,unplugged it off the bike,i didnt turn it off.
after around an hour got on the bike and plugged it in ,road off approx 5mins then the satnav ran itself down.
when i got home plugged it into the mains and nothing,it wont even turn on again.
can any one help please.thanks.

I was going to suggest this earlier but if it's anything like my Nuvi 765 then that's quite a task. I bought some pry tools from eBay along with a new battery as mine was a little tired (would only charge up part way, the last bar never filled). Two Torx screws un-done at the back and then work around the split in the case with the pry tool.

First try holding the on button into the power-up position for an extended period, 15 seconds or so. Failing that press the bottom right of the screen whilst powering up, hold screen until (hopefully) factory reset prompt appears and the select OK. This will delete all your favourites, routes etc. but not your mapping.
