Garmin map source v9

ive tried to open up the detailed map info on mine using an unlock code , n the fekin thing wont unlock....
any ideas?

Have you used the v9 maps before?

Have you unlocked the maps before?

Where did you get the unlock code from?

Why isn't the v9 unlock code in your mygarmin account?

Tried speaking with Garmin?

Aha - where did he / she get the Unlock Code from? Has he just given you his unlock code?

If he has, you do know that the unlock code will only unlock the maps to a specific GPS unit don't you?

these are the discs i have..

what else do i need , 1st time ive uploaded these , i already uploaded the v6 version,when i bought the garmin Quest
the maps that i uploaded say say map detail locked...even tho the unlock code says there unlocked..

am no tecno jock , just a spanner man

If your friend has already used the unlock code to unlock his maps to his GPS unit, you'll have to pay for your own unlock code, as you won't be able to use the same unlock code. I've just checked my credit card statement and it cost me £45.82 to unlock my V8 maps on-line last May. I think the charge was in Euros, so its probably more expensive than that now.

I know how difficult it is if computers aren't your "thing" so whereabouts do you live? If you're really up Cack Creek (even after reading the links above) why not take your laptop to a local meet and get a friendly computer friendly GSer to help? It may cost you a bar-meal and a pint - but it could save you a massive headache and a lot of stress.
