Hi, i have a Garmin Streetpilot 3 still in its box with all the associated leads including mapsource city navigator europe version 5,6,7,8 and 9 cd,s.
Anybody have an idea what its worth as i want to advertise it for sale on the forum but the rules state i cant sell something without putting a price.

Regards

Having had an SPIII since the days when I paid £580 + VAT in Makro for mine, I'd guess at advertising it for £80 and that's only because you've got V.9 of City Navigator. IIRC, they were £1500 when they were first released.

Depends if the V9 is unlocked for use on the streetpilot 3.
And if it is you're not getting much onto the 256 bite streetpilot 3 specific memory card.

I thought you had an "unlock disc".....? :augie

256 MB to be precise and it's not quite SPIII specific. It'll fit 276C and the other chart plotters as well, although the 276C supports a 512 MB version.

I know because I had one for my SP3 and it worked. Prove that it didn't :thumb2

No that's good enough for me. I'd always understood that 256 MB was the largest that the SPIII supported which was just as well when I was using mine. Have you seen the price of a 512 MB card these days...?

Even a 256 MB card is probably worth more than an SPIII itself, these days.

As many recall in its day was £1000 worth and recall the last bulk batch sold with mount and power lead in 05 were c£200

I would say £50-£70 depending upon condition to be a good price with bean bag mount, 256MB card, if not an earlier/original model in the box as anyone buying it will need to add £30+ for a mount (RAM-B-149Z-G1) and power lead (BEC01 from locatis, £15), so new buyer outlay can be £100 easily.

Thanks it comes with the power lead for the bike, power lead for a cigarette lighter, bean bag for the car, 256 mb card etc.

Fozzie.
