..... HEROES!

Could not for the life of me transfer maps from Mapsource to the Quest. Called Romsey yesterday and Sam spent half an hour - and well after knocking off time - working on the problem. Spent the evening unsuccessfully trying his suggestions so called again this morning. Phil had a go and set up a screen sharing session to take control of my PC. Thirty minutes later he had it cracked (a few CS7 maps buried among the CN8 ones)

I wonder if the other SatNav makers appreciate the mountain they have to climb to even approach the level of customer satisfaction Garmin provide?

They've had their probs with the transfer from premises and sometimes Emails seem to be lower on the priority chain than some would like, but they do seem to be amongst the top geezers don't they :thumb

If only NN and Garmin could give tourafekkintech some bloody lessons ;)

When I visited Garmin UK in December of 2005, guess what I saw parked in the choice employee parking spot, the closest one to the door? Obviously the Garmin UK guys have good taste in transportation...

Yeah - but what brand of GPSR mount is that on this Garmin employee's crossbar?

Its a touratech one for a 2610 which can also be used with the 2720 & 2820.

Its really good to see garmin help people out, i know this has probably been put down as a thread before but what other experiences have people had with garmin?? Good / Bad

Never needed to use their support !

Seriously though, nice to hear positive things and see that there are some bikers there.

I've had a few minor problems and the guys at Garmin UK have been excellent. :thumb
