Anyone know of a stockist of the Zumos in or around Bristol. I am travelling up from Exeter next week and wanted to have a look at one etc etc before ordering one. Plenty of stores around here seem to stock Garmins but I have yet to find one that has the Zumo. Any suggestions...........Cheers

Thing is .. this is described as their white box unit with what appears to be an identical Zumo listed for £374 ????
Only speculation mind...

I think the white box units are likely to be the factory refurbs that Garmin usually use for warranty replacements and exchange units. My guess is that they have higher than normal stock so have found a channel to move the surplus on.

As I say that's purely a guess.

The Garmin factory refurbs are as good as new and are usually what you get in return when sending a unit back under warranty or for a flat rate repair. They don't actually do a repair but exchange with your old unit which goes back to be refurbed at the factory.

Not sure this is of help to anyone.......MNC group state.........

*White Boxed units Are newly overhauled 1-year warranty guarantee units the same warranty as any new unit.
White box means if for any reason the product is returned to the manufacture from the store it cannot be re-sold as "New & Boxed" and it therefore goes through a Re-Manufacturing process because the unit may have not had software loaded on the unit or have a missing cable. The units are still new and never have been used. By the time the unit as been WHITE BOXED by this time, sometimes the unit is normally out of date, so upto date software will be loaded on.
It is then sold as "White box"

I have just bought a Garmin 550 Zumo for Amazon, £360:thumb all in postage the lot, I could have got it a little cheaper but opted for the more expensive and more secure postage service.
