I would like to upgrade my lighting system. Does anyone have any contacts for changing to LED indicators/rear lights and gas discharge headlights please.

Thanks:o

I'm interested in this too but NN has specificaly said that he does not do a HID kit for the 1200. The closest specific application I've come across for the 12 is here at Cannons .

Although, as I don't ride much in darkness in the summer months, I was going to wait until Autumn and get a pair of these PIAA bulbs which at £60 + VAT a pair are not cheap, but easier and cheaper than the HID set up. They've had a few excellent mentions on this site.

If you go the HID route on the 1200, let us all know what the result is and how easy the fitting was.

Cheers

Doddle to fit, you need a bit of 22mm pipe to put a hole through the lamp cover and some place to fit the box of tricks, i fitted mine to the under side of the light bar. If i was teccy enough i could post a pic, but i'm not sorry.
Just do it best mod to the bike, i have never used the high beam since.
PS: remove lamp cover heat end of 22mm pipe and stuff it through the cover
perfic fit for the grobbit :thumb

another PS: if you ring hids4 first tell them you want a 1/2 kit if you are only doing the dip he or his mum will do the web page account details for you, you log on again that's that. 2 days delivery :thumb tell them you are off this site and you will get some thing off, don't no how much as i have had mine 12 months.

Ended up buying a twin (H1) HID Xenon setup (Extreme HID 6000K on the box) from www.visionbulbs.com, links into the existing H1 bulb sockets. The ballasts should fit neatly on the mini shelf under the headlamps with a slight mod of the supplied mounting plates - I hope. What's in the box? A pair of Xenon bulbs, pair of ballasts with mounting plates, relay and harness. My only concern is whether the lights-always-on GSA I have will blip the Xenons when I start the bike. Appear to be a bargain at £127 (includes 10% discount with "VBVIPDSCT" discount code). ps Note they did take 10 days to be delivered.

When you start up the HID just goes of for a second then back, once hid has warmed up then there is no delay for the light to get bright on a restart, all that takes is only a couple of seconds.

Price is really good for a twin set, but I can't find it on the site they seem to cost more

I have LEd indicators and tail light, both from Nippy Norman. Work well and a doddle to fit. Wunderlich "Micro flooters" on the front made a significant difference to night riding, now have my main beam set quite high, and the flooters just above dip. Around town, just on dip, it doesn't bother other road users (not that I'm that concerned). Main roads add the flooters, no oncoming trafic, high beam. Adequate, rather than turns night into day, but looks good on the bike. At work at the mo, lots of pics on earthmover.smugmug.com
