2004 gasser 400, any good.

Seems straight and has had a new starter motor. Are they reliable. Stuffd with top end components (ohlins etc) but not sure how reliable the motors are.

Cheers for your help chaps:thumb

Don't know about the 400 but i've had 3 Gassers now and each one has ridden spot on and i've never had a failure of any kind on any of the bikes i've owned. Marchonni front Ohlins rear is the combo to go for around 2008 thay went to sachs all around which was not quite so good of set up but they have now gone back to marchonni and Ohlins. Earlier ones did have some cheap fixtures and fitting on them but they did never effect the ways the bikes ran. 2004 bike were fine my first EC was a 2004 each enduro you go to or moto-x there seems to be less KTM's and more gassers the 300 is the one to get from personal experience power delivery is awsome on it with twin maps

The 400 is a 4 stroke and totally different to their 2 stroke machines

Yeah i know, if i remember correctly it used either a Yamaha engine or a scorpa engine. TBM a few months back gave them a very good right up but that was for a new one
