Voyager does a nice gearbox rebuild. I'm sure you would get a top notch job for a fair price.

I've heard that Rob Farmer bloke ain't too bad with gearboxes:D
As for driveshaft, would highly reccomend Guy Henderson. Got one of his shafts and it is a lovely piece of work:thumb2

Thanks Chris. But yours was the last one I'll be doing :beerjug:

Oooooh you sweet-talker you :D

I have re-built three gearboxes recently . . and they all seem to work :thumb.

If you want all bearings (SKF), seals & springs replaced, plus the output shaft circlip mod carried out the total cost will be about £200.

That's for the parts & circlip groove machining (£50) - I won't charge anything for my time.

If you just want dodgy bearings & seals replaced it will cost a lot less (but may not last as long).

As I have now made / acquired all the necessary tools I may as well take on another.

Drop me a PM if you want me to do the box.

I can't repair driveshafts though (got an old one of my own I'd like repaired :blast).

Edit . . I have re-built Paralever boxes from 100GS' - If yours is a Mono I could be on a learning curve as I'm not sure whether they are the same or not.

Bob.

The Mono box is essentially the same but has the oil seal circlip already in place. The output bearings different along with the oil seal. Apart from that an possibly a few minor differences on the selector plate and different tooth pitch on the very early ones they're the same.

Thanks Rob,

I thought they were essentially the same (no 4-speeders on g/s / GS' to my knowledge) but its as well to be sure.

Well voyager rebuilt the gearbox in double quick time for me. I have finally got it back together. from the first short ride today the box feels really good in fact i would go as far as saying its sweet. I am sure with a few more miles i will think of something better and more descriptive but at the moment and untill i can get over how nice it is thats all i can say. Top job thank you Bob :beerjug::beerjug:
