Hi guys, got a 1150 adv 2003 and the general warning light is on. Everything working fine including rear stop and tail lights. Is it probably caused by a dodgy bulb? Had the bulb out and the connections are like new? Anything else it could be? :nenau

Try a new rear bulb as IIRC the system is so clever it uses the brake filament at half power to fool us if the tail light filament fails.

+1. It's cheap and easy to replace the bulb, and you can't always see anything wrong with the old one at first glance.

Remove rear light lens and check that BOTH filaments (rear light and brake) come on when lights are on and brake operated.

Makes sense. I doubt the electronics can tell the difference between a blown filament and a break/bad connection elsewhere in the wiring.

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I have just replaced the bulb and now all is good so thanks for that :D Nice to have a cheap quick fix for once ;)
