As per the title, some advice needed re travel in that order. I'm travelling back to Istanbul using Superfast VII from Ancona to Igoumenitsa on Thursday @ 4.30pm. I was in Menton last week and the plan was to go further west towards Barca but I decided to hit the RDGA instead (fooking glad I did) and I've now found myself in Geneva.

I'm thinking more passes, maybe hitting Zermat? Any advice on routes/passes/accommodation greatly appreciated. Might want to break the ride between Stelvio & Ancona with a night in Verona or Venice???

Cheers peeps :aidan

Why not do it yourself? Here's how:

Put the basic route A to B to C into Google maps. This shows you the broad direction you need to take.

Now look at a decent paper map of the area and look to see if there are any sensible other routes and / or places you can go through, maintaining your basic west to east direction of travel, all within the (unknown) time frame you have allowed yourself.

This link shows how to join places up. OK it goes to Venice but it gives you an idea:

You could adopt it very simply by tacking a bit on at the end to go from Venice to Ancona. OK the bods are on bicycles but they cross iconic passes on each day and you can bet there are hotels to stay in at the end of each stage. If they can do it, so can you.
