Gentle off road riding in the SE

Morning all,

I live in Gosport and have a '99 R1150GS that I'd like to learn to ride off road. I've ridden on gravel tracks and on one memorable occasion a sand road but I've never done any real off-road riding. On anything.

Any recommendations for places to go to ride the bike off-road? I'm not wanting to plug through 2 ft of mud or anything, just learn how to stay upright off road.
