Hello friends,

Does anyone on here use different makes of heated clothing in conjunction with each other ? Plan to buy keis insoles and have a gerbing 12v glove. Gerbing EU - for some unknown reason - do not make insoles. :(

The gerbing and keis connectors are different - nothing that a visit to maplin cannot solve. But not sure about current draw etc. Both operate on 12v though.

Thanks
K

The plugs might be but I doubt that this cannot be overcome as stated re Maplins visit.

Separate point, at the show I saw a Li-Po battery pack that was intended as an emergency starter battery, barely bigger than an iphone, I fancy getting one and finding the correct socket to allow me to plug in my Keis vest for when I go walkabout - any idea if this will work or will I experience spontaneous combustion or similar?

Coincidence. I was in Maplin today getting a replacement 240V/10A/24V relay to repair my remote outdoor xmas tree lights switcher-onner and I noticed that they were selling heated fleece waistcoats - £19.99. Require 6 x AA batteries to operate. I thought just like you did, can I make up/get a 9V battery power supply. The current crop of portable battery packs for mobile charging eg 10,000mAh, but are 5V output.

I was in 'into-gear' in Hull today and Andy the manager said that he had trousers and insoles that all plugged together, try giving him a ring.

Any reason why you don't want to use heated socks instead of insoles?

I've got the full WarmNSafe kit with socks connected to trouser liners, which are connected to jacket liner, which connects to gloves.

Jacket liner has a remote receiver in the pocket, and I've put the remote transmitter on the mirror bracket so I can fine tune the poaching experience.

I've put a panel mount on the left side of the plastic so can just connect the curly wire (a Gerbings and on second one) to the bike.

Was out all day yesterday with three degrees showing on the bike (not playing on the radio) and was warm and smug.

Riderz UK sell the complete range and having gone from Gerbing which kept braking have used WarmNSafe for two seasons now without any problems.

If you can find insoles that don't take up all the room in your boots and make them a tight fit, then well done! Swapped my insoles for heated socks - yum!

I have Warmnsafe heated gear too and can't fault it, I also have some keis insoles and some old style gerbing heated socks (wool and wires and very uncomfortable)
My point is I can plug the keis into the warmnsafe and warmnsafe into gerbings etc, the keis plug is a slightly different design and isn't a perfect fit BUT still works
I've had 3 pair of keis insoles fail so now use all warmnsafe gear, the seamless socks are my most comftable pair of all my socks and warm my toes in seconds

I wouldn't trust "Andy" as far as I could toss him. Sorry.
