Posted this elsewhere on a hijacked thread but here again to see if there's any response.

Was following a route set up in a Zumo 550, went on a detour of some back roads, so stopped the active route then a while later fired it back up again whilst still a few miles away from the original track.

I chose the 'no' option for starting from the beginning of route, expecting it to then just recalculate me onto the route (unit set for auto recalc) but it wasn't to be, didn't do a recalculate until I was about 1km from the route, just when the purple track started to edge onto the screen. Not sure that's the point of a satnav!

Happened more than once, got round it with the route running, went to Where To / Routes / Active Route / Edit / Add New Point. You can then touch the green add point icon at the top of the list (places already past have a blue icon, still to come red with a minus sign), go to Browse Map which will show you ‘Area’ where you are. Hit select, this will put where you are on the route. Then go ‘Back’ will you get the ‘Go’ screen, hit that and it will recalculate from where you are..

All very long winded, there must be a better way!

So, is there a way to get the route to recalculate you onto the track from wherever you are without all that palaver?

Thanks,

Craig

I normally set 'Re-Calculate' to 'Prompted'.

So when I go off route and it says 'Off Route Re-Calculate?' I select 'No'.

I then go about whatever I was going to do (get fuel?), when ready to rejoin my route, I zoom out until I can see it then just ride to the nearest bit...

Works for me..:thumb2

I just navigate "by eye" back to the magenta line of the route.
