Relax and enjoy! You're going to have a cracking time! (but listen to those who said drink lots of water - you'll need it, but there's plenty of forest if nature calls...;) :D )

Had the bestest time ever!! :D:D If I could do it all again next weekend I would! I absolutely LOVED IT!!!!!

It was nice to meet you chaps :) Will, Richard and anyone else here I forgot to mention . . . I'm still on a high . . . got a bloody good bruise on my leg though where I smashed into the trees down the hill and broke the mudguard off my bike though! lol

Alan was a very patient instructor bless him . . .God only knows the times he had to pick me up from under my bike yesterday . . . . :augie I can't believe how tired I got.

I was chuffed to bits when Mr P was teaching our group on Sunday though :thumb there I was doing a bit of gentle trail riding (unlike yesterday) and doing the 'drop off' system with our group, when there I am, marking the junction and Simon appears . . . he lets me out to follow the rest of the group and I'm thinking to myself . . . . bloodyhell (sorry for swearing) . . . that's Simon Pavey following me!! :D I was grinning from ear to ear :D :D :D

What a fab weekend! and I even got to chat with Simon after dinner Sunday night . . . .after Alan and my hubby dropped me in it by telling him I liked him!! lol if ya get what I mean :angel:o:augie

I can't wait to do it again next year :thumb

I had a similar experience, someone missed a turning on the drop off system, so I went the wrong way, I know we were told to wait if we got lost but I thought I would make a bid for freedom so I put the 1200 through its paces at my limited pace. After what appeared to be 10 min I reached a Tee junction ( it was probably only a couple on mins!).
At this point I heard a horn and a big smile greeted me, we had a laugh and Mr Pavey and I drove back through the forest tracks at speed to meet the team again.(not as:ymca as it appears)
I was grinning from ear to ear during that breif ride and it was probably the fastest I went all week end.
Pleased your ok Shirley, as it was getting very hard work nearing the end of the course and I for one was tired.
 
shirl told ya it would be a brill weekend..................and i can't wait to do it again.............still got the bruises from my offroad weekend......i think they should give awards for the "who falls off the most".........cos i know i would of got one of them......lol
maybe we should get a few girls off here to do the ladys offroad weekend next year..........what ya think?:P:P

Sounds like you had a great time Shirley, well done!

Hope to do this course myself next year with the hubby and hearing how well everyone has got on makes me want to do it even more!

If you truly enjoyed it why wait a whole year before going off road again?
I can understand that you don't want to damage your GS but it is possible to buy a cheap trail bike and get out there whenever you want. I'm sure that the local TRF group would help you and take you on some rides. You might find some of the lanes suitable for the GS.:eek:
Just a thought, trying to be helpful rather than stirring :thumb2
