Looking at a few of us spending a few days in the north. Ferry across to Dublin for the first night (have family there) and 'up north' for 3 days. Would love to see the Giant's Causeway but wondering what a good route would be and what else to take in. Would like to end up back in Dublin for the ferry on the 4th day. Any suggestions fellas? :thumb2

Going ...

... either North or South you simply must take a bimble along the Antrim coast road (NE Corner) :augie

You could do it both ways but that'd be a waste and I'm sure someone else will be along to suggest alternatives :thumb2

Ok-Dublin, Newry-Warrenpoint-Rostrevor-kilkeel-Newcastle (stop for food, plenty of choice). from Newcastle follow the coast through Dundrum,Killough, Ardglass, Strangford. Short ferry crossing to Portaferry. From Portaferry to Newtownards then Belfast. From Belfast follow signs for Carrickfergus then larne. From larne you follow the coast road to Cushendun, then take the Torr Head senic route to Ballycastle. Continue along the coast road to Ballintoy then on to the Giant's Causeway.

Things to see and do along the way-the Mourne Mountains at Newcastle(nice 30 mile loop through the mountains), good aquarium at Portaferry, Carrick-a reid rope bridge and Ballintoy harbour at Ballintoy-enjoy:thumb2
