Ha! I wish!!
I
do like this bike.
I had to go to Maidstone yesterday and took the GS via nadgery A / B roads. And sadly (and it is bloody sad) I was thinking of this forum and threads like 'pointless electronics' as I was riding it. (and I was mostly thinking ... feck me, how could anybody not like this bike ..

).
Come away from the seriously quick (1190 quick) sweeping A roads and get on the back roads and I really think this bike is just brilliant. Short shifting it, Brrp Brrrrp Brrrrp, ride it almost like a super moto bike you can just throw this thing about and launch yourself out of a corner. Weight that outside peg, lift that outside bar hard with high elbows ...
Play with damping on the move, turn off ASC on the move, you can push those grip limits and just get that back tyre squirming and moving. I think it's a great bike ... I want a bike that makes me really grin
but something that I can turn on and off when I want,
So, errrrrrr, say a 990 superduke - I couldn't live with that, 'cos you can't turn it off. It's constantly chomping at the bit and only really has one mode. Not a bike to go touring with or your daily commute.
I love the fact that shortly, her indoors and I will saddle up and go and see Bakerman via the 272, coffee stop in Petworth, and we'll bimble along in comfort and ease.
But when she's not on it and I'm in the mood, I'll be a hooligan and the bike will come alive, hoist its front wheel and let its hair down. (and then bugger off up a byway if i want it to .. )
Bloody good. Best bike I've ever owned ...
